Toward Zion — Acrylic

I spent two 12 hour days in the Subway trying to see past the familiar frames. After a while I stopped chasing and just watched—leaves turning in the pools, the glow sliding down the tunnel, the blue of the sky skimming the wet rock. When the late afternoon finally aligned, I went as low and wide as I could. The water was a foot from the lens, rushing under me, carving lines that carried my eye straight to the ember of light ahead. Yellow leaves, green pools, blue reflections, and that orange firelight all found their places. The scene felt like a quiet pull toward a sanctuary—toward Zion—where river and stone meet in a warm, hidden room.
